BEESLACK SCHOOL PENICUIK AT 4PM ON SUNDAY MARCH 19TH 2006

Campaigners fighting plans by E.ON for a wind farm on the environmentally sensitive Auchencorth Moss, Penicuik, near Edinburgh set fire to a 30 foot straw effigy of a wind turbine last night
to highlight their call for Penicuik residents to attend Professor David Bellamy’s Public Debate at Beeslack School, Penicuik at 4 pm on Sunday , March 19th 2006 - he has described the plans as environmental vandalism.
John Thomson spokesperson for the Penicuik Environmental Protection Association (PEPA) said: "We are calling for all Midlothian residents who care about the environment to come along to the debate at Beeslack School on 19 March at 4pm and hear the guest speaker Professor David Bellamy on wind farms.In addition if people wish to visit PEPA's website the address is
